Callie Jennings

Attorney

Callie Jennings focuses her practice on general and complex litigation of employment matters, primarily in federal court. She advises clients on a wide variety of employment contracts, routinely handles complex discovery matters, including bilingual depositions, and regularly represents Spanish-speaking and immigrant workers.

She is an active member of the local bar, and currently serves as a board member for the Lawyers Association for Women and the American Constitution Society.

Ms. Jennings earned her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2016, graduating summa cum laude, with a concentration in advocacy and dispute resolution. She is a member of the Order of the Coif. During law school, she served as acquisitions editor of the Tennessee Law Review, worked as preceptor for contract drafting, and served a judicial internship under the Hon. Pamela L. Reeves, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee. Ms. Jennings received her undergraduate degree from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a concentration in Spanish and Portuguese, and a minor in philosophy. She completed part of her degree in Argentina, where she attended the University of Buenos Aires and University del Salvador.

  • Won summary judgment in the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee establishing employer’s liability under the FLSA
  • Achieved favorable settlements for workers in FLSA actions totaling over $100,000
  • Represents workers in federal actions involving Title 7 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, race discrimination, gender and pregnancy discrimination, FMLA violations and retaliatory discharge
